Peer reviews:
Each month, members present work for reactions and suggestions from
the group.
Guest critiques:
Bay Area photographers and educators, such as Steve Raskin, Amie
Potsic and Linda Connor, meet with members to provide feedback on
their work.
Salons: Occasionally, members gather to discuss a topic in the arts such
as self-portraiture, censorship, or the definition of style.
Artist talks:
About six times per year, the Collective sponsors a slide presentation
and talk by a well-known photographer or a panel discussion by members
of the Bay Area arts community. Guest speakers have included Steve
Brock, Judy Dater, Frank Espada, Nina Glaser, Ken Light, Darwin
Marable, Timo Pajunen, Kent Reno, Del LaGrace Volcano, John Weir,
Jack Welpott, and Jo Whaley.

Workshops:
Several times during the year, BAPC members or other Bay Area photographers
conduct workshops and demonstrations to share their skills with
members. Past workshops have covered plastic cameras, Polaroid emulsion
transfers, platinum/palladium prints, and large negatives.
Exhibits:
The Collective mounts one to three group shows each year. Venues
have included the Commonwealth Club of California and San Francisco
City Hall.
