Art history often inspires my work. The still lifes from the series Vanitas are descendants of Dutch painting, with a personal twist. The deYoung tower series is an homage to the 36 Views of Mt. Fuji woodblock prints by Hokusai. I am still a film-based, darkroom-based photographer.
